Homecoming 2025 is September 15-19. The theme for this year is "Once Upon a Homecoming".
Homecoming Queen candidates Anna Banck, Julia Beyer, Addyson Mann, Ella Schmuck, and Hannah Woodley. King candidates are Connor Bose, Kasey Buss, Josh Hansen, Tyler Hodge, and Jaydon Johnson.
Coronation is Monday at 7:00pm in the PAC. The ceremony will also be live streamed on CardinalVision, Luverne Schools' YouTube page.
The powder puff football and dodge ball games will follow Coronation on Cardinal Field and the Classic Gym respectively. Parents and community members are welcome to attend.
Disney inspired dress-up themes for Luverne Middle and High School students and staff are as follows:
Monday - Sleeping Beauties - wear Pajamas.
Tuesday - Ohana - wear Hawiian themed clothing
Wednesday - Journey to Neverland - dress as pirates or lost boys
Thursday - Hakuna Ma-Thursday - dress in safari or animal print
Friday - Lightning McQueen - Wear Red and White
The Cardinal volleyball team will host Worthington on Thursday at 7:00pm in the Cardinal Gym. The Homecoming royalty will be introduced before the varsity game.
Friday is Red and White Spirit Day for all K-12 students and staff.
The ABC (Anything But a Car) Parade for students in grades 9-12 will travel from the Ice Arena to the school campus Friday morning at 8:00am.
The Luverne Alumni and Educator Halls of Fame Induction Ceremony will be Friday at 4:00pm in the PAC with an informal light reception hosted by the Luverne Education Association to follow in the High School Commons. The ceremony will also be live streamed on CardinalVision.
The LHS football team hosts LeSueur-Henderson in the Homecoming football game at 7:00pm on Friday night on Cardinal Field.
A community tailgate meal will be served from 6:00-7:00pm with all proceeds benefiting the Luverne Educational Legacy Fund (LELF). Homecoming royalty will be introduced at the start of halftime of the football game.
A student tailgate co-hosted by the Luverne FFA and Student Council begins at 5:30pm. The High School Homecoming Dance follows the football game until Midnight in the High School Commons.
