5 senior girls pose during senior service day

On May 1, the graduating Class of 2026 participated in the annual “Senior Service Day.” The purpose of the day is to help the community and give back to the town that has supported them throughout their years at Luverne High School.

Students split into groups and volunteered at 13 different locations: the City of Luverne, RCO, AG Society, Merc, Generations, Nature Explore, Palace, The Lake, Veterans Home, Child Remembrance Garden, Mary Jane Brown, Blue Mound State Park, and the Historical Society.

Students assisted with outdoor work, carrying and organizing materials, planting and raking, power washing, cleaning, fairgrounds projects, and ditch walking.

After their hard work, all of the seniors gathered at the city park for a picnic catered by Sunshine Foods.

Thank you to the seniors for all of your help!
